If you are at a hospital and you feel that you or your loved one is real sick and may have Meningitis and you feel that the hospital is not doing enough tests. please contact us: 855-5-cononie

Ask to speak to the on call Meningitis Advocate. This is the Homeless Shelter, so ask them to page, find, or call us on our cell phone.

When you call us, you will need to provide us with the patient's name and the Hospital's name and number. The Hospital may not speak to us unless there is a medical release. We can fax a release to the Hospital in just a few minutes for you to sign. You can plead with the ER doctor to do more test. You may also tell them that you will be calling the "On call Meningitis Advocate" to make a report. This statement will let them know that you are making a report that they may not be following the standard of care.

Remember you can go to another Hospital and seek treatment. If that is the case you may not want to tell the new Hospital that you just came from another hospital.
